How to use Ludin
Every screen in the app, what each setting does, and what to do when something doesn't behave. Start with setup, then read the page for whichever tool you want to use tonight.

Getting started
Redeeming your access code, how the app is laid out, and the black-screen behaviour that every timed sequence shares.
Sleep Tools
Sleep Journal
Log dreams, tag recurring elements, and let Ludin surface the patterns that become your dream signs.
Timed Audio
A spoken induction cue, aimed into a REM period rather than at your waking self. The audio counterpart to the light flash.
WBTB Timer
Wake-Back-to-Bed, calculated. Ludin lists the wake time at each cycle boundary and arms an alarm on the one you pick — the setup step for every cue tool.
Smart REM
Smart REM: which mode to use
The difference between timing the flashes yourself and letting the accelerometer estimate REM for you.
Time-Based flashing
Set a delay and Ludin flashes the screen red on the schedule you build — the classic light-induction approach.
Sensor-Based flashing
The accelerometer estimates when you're in REM and fires the flash burst then, instead of on a fixed timer.

Troubleshooting
Access codes, sequences that didn't fire, cues that woke you fully, and what to do when nothing seems to be working.
Setting expectations. Lucid dreaming is hard. Even the best evidence-based techniques produce lucidity on a minority of nights, and no app changes that overnight. Ludin's bet is that timing the cue well improves the odds — but your first night may be nothing at all, and that's normal. Read how to lucid dream for the underlying techniques these tools are built to support.
Read this before your first session. The cue tools — Time-Based and Sensor-Based flashing, and Timed Audio — are designed to be armed as you go back to sleep: after a WBTB wake, or at the start of a midday nap. Armed at bedtime they mostly cue into non-REM sleep. Getting started explains the full sequence.
